Shen Yun Unites Us With the Divine: Audience in Tours, France

February 20, 2023

Shen Yun performed three shows in Tours, France, on Feb. 11–12. Audiences say they were impressed by the tour’s beauty.

“It’s impeccable, it’s perfection. You can see that there are hours of work and that it’s at a very high level. It’s very good,” said Eric Guilbaud, a deputy director at the Department of Logistics & Heritage at the University of Poitiers.

“The artistic level is very professional, the clothes, the music,” said Diego Mombelli. “So there’s a lot of things that are synchronized and it’s very, very good. And then the orchestra, the soloists. Superb! I found that magnificent, it is happiness.”

Shen Yun aims to revive China’s 5,000 years of divinely inspired culture through classical Chinese dance and a live orchestra.

“The Shen Yun show is the perfect illustration of what unites us with the divine, and that the answer to what we are living for now, to the difficulties of our modern life, and all that is to be found in us, in us who are the representation of our divine sides. And we just have to find our divine sides, which are in us and everything will be better after. And this is what I felt during the show. And I think that’s what’s at the root of Chinese culture, historical Chinese culture, and the show brings it out perfectly,” said Dominique Carré.

“It’s the souls that we see dancing, that we hear singing and all that and the divine that’s in each of us. So there you have it, that’s what I retained from the show,” he added.

“It’s a message of hard work and courage and peace as well. There are messages of beauty, there are messages of technical skills, also for dancing. So there is a spirituality that is lived in it, it’s incredible,” said Mombelli.

“I think that this kind of show does contribute to fulfillment. And we’re going to come out of here and we’re going to come out better than when we came in,” said Guilbaud.

“It’s a return to culture, it’s a return to our roots, it’s a return to beauty and it’s ultimately a return to a communion between people and between people and nature,” said Raphaël Chové. “I think it’s a message that is very strong and that opens us up to things that go far beyond our everyday life.”

“Now I’m very happy and content because I was lucky enough to share it with my family,” said Mombelli. “I encourage you to come and enjoy a unique show.”

Shen Yun is performing in Paris and will return to Tours in April.
