Shen Yun Performing Arts brought 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture to the stage in Taiwan on March 26. Audience members in Kaohsiung and Taoyun said they were moved to tears.

“It really made me feel like crying, I was moved to tears. To be able to synchronize everything to such an extent, it is moving. The singing, dancing, and acting are really the highest level of art that we pursue,” said Jun Zhuo, an orchestra conductor. “It is very difficult to be able to combine the three. Today I was very touched and amazed by how these three things were combined to such a perfect extent.”

“I was just wiping my tears quietly. I just want to say, it was so stunning, and it really touches the body, mind, and soul. They must be performing with their bodies and souls, with their lives,” said Huijuan Liu, the chairwoman of a nonprofit organization. “So it’s really that kind of spirit that can awe and touch people’s hearts down in the audience.”

“I really felt a power of kindness. We are usually very busy in our work or in various industries, and sometimes we forget about our spiritual cultivation. But through Shen Yun’s performance today, we are awakened to the memory of our traditional culture, and we realize that our Chinese culture has in the past actually accumulated a lot of wonderful stories, which can enlighten people’s hearts,” said Dinghe Lin, who is the founder of Art Incubator & Course.

For Kangyan Liu, a city councilor in Hsinchu City, Shen Yun’s performance was an eye-opener. “Look at everything in the world with a very sincere heart, with a kind heart, and with patience. This is a great insight that watching Shen Yun Performing Arts gave me today.”

Many audience members said that Shen Yun is more than just a performance for them and felt thankful for Shen Yun trying to revive the glory of traditional Chinese culture and bringing it to the world.

“I have so much admiration. Thank you. As a Chinese person, I feel very proud. And after seeing the performance, I feel very heartened,” said Hung-Chang Wu, the conductor at Taiwan Chorus. “Shen Yun is a performance that exceeds international standards, but it bases its creations on the foundation of our traditional culture. It is all beyond international standards. Shen Yun’s technique, whether it’s the singing, the instruments, or the dancers, is then harnessed with great ease and purity. When we look at it from this perspective, it’s very moving.”

“There is dance, there is the erhu, there is singing, there is drama. There are many different dimensions to each of these things, and they are all presented in many different ways. I really feel like Chinese culture is so admirable. We can’t help but admire the energy accumulated by the ancient sages. And then here today we are able to continue to carry that forward. I really have to thank Shen Yun for making us feel that our Chinese culture is unending,” said Shuling Chen, the chairwoman at Pingtung County Architects Association.

“I highly encourage everyone to watch it. Everyone faces difficulties in this society. But actually, after watching the performance, you’ll gain a lot of inspiration, and a great direction and vision for the future,” said Pinrui Pan, the chairman of the board of directors at National Parent Association.

“It inspires us physically and mentally, and allows us to grow spiritually. I think it is worth promoting to everyone to receive such a baptism,” said Yanquan Ou, the director at Hospital R&D & Innovation Center.

Shen Yun will be performing in Miaoli County and Changhua in Taiwan through April.
