Stunning footage appears to show a snowboarder being chased by a bear without even realizing it.

Kelly Murphy says she was snowboarding at the Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park in Japan when she recorded the video.

In it, she belts out a Rihanna song while speeding down a hill.

But in the background, a bear rambles after her, and she doesn’t seem to be aware of it at all the entire time.

Fortunately for her, the creature never caught up.

“I was singing Rihanna ‘Work’ and didn’t know it was behind me! OMG! I was going through my snowboarding videos and I found a bear chasing me! I nearly got eaten!” she said.

“I didn’t realize until I looked at the video today! I was freaking out when I saw it and showed my friends who told me to put it on YouTube,” she added to the Daily Mirror.

She added that it was hard to alert staff at Hakuba because they didn’t speak very good English.

However, some people are claiming the video is fake.

“It’s a fake viral video,” said one YouTube user.

“Bear looks too fatty. it should be skinny after the long winter hibernation. I have seen so many wildlife videos. this bear looks out of place,” added another.

“One point worth noting is that while brown bears are found on the country’s northern island, only black bears live in the wild on the mainland where this video was shot,” noted Metro. “This animal looks like a brown bear.”
