NYPD’s counterterrorism unit tweeted that a shooting outside Barclays Center in Brooklyn was criminal in nature, alleviating fears of a potential terrorist incident.
The shooting took place Wednesday afternoon, sending crowds fleeing.
The victim, a male bystander, was reportedly shot in the ankle and taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, said police and fire officials. He is in stable condition.
