A question at top of mind following the leak of Pentagon secrets and the subsequent arrest is: How is it possible for a 21-year-old member of the Air National Guard to obtain top-secret U.S. military documents? FBI whistleblower Steve Friend tells NTD it’s because of the “sloppy” way this information is housed or commingled with documents that are unclassified, classified, and secret. He suggests the solution is a more thorough compartmentalizing of the information.

The documents reveal that the number of Russian casualties in its war with Ukraine is lower than the U.S. government let the public know. Furthermore, they show there are U.S. troops in Ukraine. Friend says this will only reduce Americans’ trust in the government further.
