A mother and son shared a wonderful experience together at classical Chinese dance and music show, Shen Yun.

Anthony LaBianca bought tickets as a Mother’s Day present for his mother, Karla LaBianca.

“It’s amazing! It’s perfect. So talented,” said Karla of the dancers.

Anthony echoed her sentiments.

“The raw emotion portrayed in their movements is uncanny. It puts a new definition on perfection. It’s amazing. Absolutely amazing. The training and precision of these dancers is just unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. It’s really, really beautiful,” he said. “I’ve never known how much the human body can do before this.”

Both were excited about the live orchestra, which featured a combination of Chinese and Western instruments.

“It’s perfect,” said Karla. “I can hear every instrument, and it just matches with the dancing perfectly.”

“I think the most exciting sound was when you heard the orchestra tuning up at the beginning, it just gave you that butterflies in the stomach feeling, like I’m going over the roller coaster. It was so amazing. The orchestra is truly phenomenal. They’re a wonderful group of musicians,” said the younger LaBianca.

Karla got a Mother’s Day present she won’t forget.

“It’s awesome. I’m happy to come. I’ve never seen anything like this at all,” she said.

Anthony left with a dose of inspiration.

“The dancers are unbelievable people who devoted their lives to this art, beautiful art, and it gives you inspiration to pursue your own dreams harder and further,” he said.

Shen Yun is currently performing in Newark, New Jersey.
