South Carolina Leaders Oppose Voting Reform Bill

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and Governor Henry McMaster oppose H.R. 1 (For the People Act).

Proponents say this is an anti-corruption, pro-democracy move that will make voting more accessible for people—especially minority communities. But critics like some of South Carolina’s leaders call it a power grab that would undermine ballot integrity.

Graham and McMaster held a press conference to speak about the issue.
