Spanish authorities discovered two young West African migrants cramped in makeshift hiding places inside a car.
The two teens, a man and woman, both aged 19, were attempting to enter the Spanish enclave of Melilla.
A police video from October shows the two migrants extracting themselves from cramped spaces in a heavily modified car.
The woman was hidden in the trunk of the car over the back car wing. While the man was found at the front of the vehicle behind the dashboard.
After the migrants were removed from their crawlspaces, they were treated for dehydration and numbness—a side effect of their cramped conditions.
Both of them have now been taken to a migrant processing camp.
The driver of the car and another passenger have been arrested on charges of human trafficking. They were both Moroccan.
