Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said on Thursday that he would not call a special general assembly session to investigate Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis amid calls from some Republican lawmakers for her removal after she announced the indictment of former President Donald Trump on Aug. 14. President Trump has pleaded not guilty and says he’ll skip a hearing next week in the case accusing him and others of illegally trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.
