But it does come with risks, which are underscored by the FDA’s proposed new guidelines. NTD spoke with Daniel Laroche, MD, who’s a clinical associate professor of ophthalmology. He described efforts to help the public know about the risks of Lasik as well as some alternatives for those with vision problems.
