Spice Girls Discuss Plans for New Tour on Baby Spice’s Radio Show

Spice Girls Geri Horner, Melanie Brown, and Melanie Chisholm joined bandmate Emma Bunton’s Heart Breakfast radio show in London on Nov. 7.

The radio interview comes after the band announced their first concert dates since the 2012 Olympics on Monday. They confirmed Victoria Beckham would not be joining the reunion. But Melanie Brown said Beckham would in fact be making an appearance for one of their shows.

“She is joining us at Wembley on June 14,” the singer teased about their Wembley date which is actually scheduled for June 15, 2019.

Whilst no one denied it on air, representatives for the band later reiterated Beckham would not be joining for any dates on the tour.

Brown further stoked rumor and speculation when breakfast radio co-host Jamie Theakston asked if they had plans to record new material.

“Yes, we’re recording an album, we’re going to the studio next week,” Mel B, also known as Scary Spice, said.

But bandmate Melanie Chisholm quashed any hopes saying Scary wasn’t telling the truth.

The Spice Girls tour starts on June 1, 2019, in Manchester, and finishes at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 15.
