Spring Budget Lost Opportunity to Cut Spending: Economist

The Chancellor’s Spring Budget brought a 2 percent pre-election cut to the National Insurance rate, but also set out £19 billion in tax rises planned for after the election. Economist and fund manager, Daniel Lacalle, said the budget looks like an appeal to Labour voters and lost an opportunity to cut spending.
