Spying Fears: British Olympians Offered New Phones

Several European countries are taking steps to protect their athletes during the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics, and that protection seems to be focused on cybersecurity.

British athletes and staff will now be offered temporary phones from the British Olympic Association. The decision comes amid fears that Chinese authorities could install spy software on foreign devices and gain access to athletes’ private data or track their activities.
