Star Wars Celebration kicked off in Orlando. The four-day convention features a legacy of cast members and those involved in the franchise. “Star Wars” creator George Lucas was in attendance.

Ever since the first “Star Wars” movie, fan hype has never ended.

Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, talked about what it means to him, “What’s overwhelming is the support of the fans, it’s unbelievable. I was saying earlier, you know, they are so supportive of everything during your good times and your bad times – more supportive than my actual family who are highly critical by the way. But the fans are, again, something I’ve never taken for granted because – I mean just thinking about it – it’s almost moving because everyone has a story, you know it’s become such a fabric of our culture.”

Notably absent was Carrie Fisher, who died last year at the age of 60. The Princess Leia actress was sorely missed, but she lives on in the hearts and memories of fans.
