An action for democracy will be held on the red carpet of Berlinale ahead of the festival’s opening ceremony. Actors and filmmakers including Cillian Murphy, star of the opening film “Small Things Like These,” and jury president Lupita Nyong’o, will then arrive.
SCHEDULE:
11:40-11:50 ET – Around 50 to 60 people from the film industry, consisting of actors, directors, and producers, will form a chain of lights together. These include Jonathan Berlin, Meret Becker, Luisa Gaffron, Pegah Ferydoni, Roshanak Khodabakhsh Anne Leppin, Jannis Niewöhner, Murali Perumal, Katja Riemann, Lavinia Wilson and Jessica Schwarz.
