State Department: China Coordinator Visited Beijing

Washington returning to dialogue with China, but officials are keeping it low-key. This comes two months after secretary Antony Blinken canceled his planned China trip over the spy balloon incident.

The State Department confirmed that a U.S. official visited China. That official is Rick Waters, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for China and Taiwan. He’s the state department’s China coordinator.
