State premier mourns, praises South Australia London Bridge victim

South Australia’s State premier eulogized Kirsty Boden, a victim of the London bridge attacks.

London police said Boden, a nurse, was trying to help other victims when she was killed.

Boden, 28, had traveled to London three years prior.

She wanted to see the wider world. She had the very bad luck to get caught up in other people’s evil.

“This is one of those events that does touch the life of every South Australian,” Premier Weatherill said in his statement. “Every death, of course, is a tragedy, but this particular event seems to touch us in a particular way—a country girl from South Australia dying in an act of global terrorism seems to reach into every single one of our homes.”

He concluded, “I think everybody around the world shares in this grief.”
