Storm Warning Leads NYC to House Migrants in Local High School, Sparking Parental Concern

After a temporary stay in a New York City high school gym, a sizable group of migrants has departed, yet local outrage persists. They were relocated from their tent facility to James Madison High School in Brooklyn as a precautionary measure before the winter storm hit.

City leaders say they were taking precautions to protect the migrants from the dangerous weather and wanted to prevent a repeat of what happened in December when a storm damaged the 2,000-person tent facility near the high school.
