When traveling, there is an easy way to get a glimpse of another country or region’s culture: Watch street performers or buskers. This method is simple yet entertaining and they are very unique and fun to watch.
Because of their different cultures, they will demonstrate rather different types of performances. This man from Peru is not only a musician, he is a whole orchestra and a puppet theater at the same time.
The Peruvian artist is operating two puppets to dance to the sound of the music while simultaneously playing on his guitar, a drum set strapped to his back, and panpipes. The puppets move to the rhythm of the beat and are carrying small guitars they appear to play.
He calls himself the “Cusco Orchestra” and this name fits quite well as he resembles a complete group of Andean musicians all by himself. This guy has definitely earned a good tip if you every come across him playing.
