Studies May Exaggerate Fish Mislabeling in the US

Fish being sold under incorrect names in the United States has been the subject of many studies. The results vary: Anywhere from 15 percent to 50 percent of fish on the market are mislabeled. However, Gavin Gibbons from the National Fisheries Institute says the numbers may be misleading. He says studies target species with high amounts of fraud and use small sample sizes.
