This looks like a pen. How did it became a toy? Well, it’s actually a magnetic ballpoint pen from Polar.
Polar is a modular pen and stylus made up of 13 individual magnets which can be disassembled in a second, turning it from a pen to something else.
If you need to draw a circle and do not have a compass, fret not. You can build a compass with the magnets by lining up half of the magnets together. Amazing, isn’t it?
The pen was an invention by Andrew Gardner at the Indiedesign, one of the many incredible projects that was unveiled at Kickstarter. The unique pen comes in two finishes: Silver and 24k Gold.
