Some say Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s drafted Rwanda Bill won’t work, while others are waiting to review the bill in full. Home Secretary James Cleverly wrote on the front page of the bill that he cannot guarantee that it’s compatible with the European Convention on Human Rights. However, the bill also states that ministers will decide whether to ignore interim measures issued by the European Court of Human Rights, thus appearing to leave some gaps for legal challenge.
