We have already reported about the classical guitar being more and more popular in Asia: How would a Spanish guitar sound in Asia? Although it’s not a traditional asian instrument, it has captivated many Asian people’s hearts. This phenomenon already bearing fruit – there are many remarkably skilled young artists playing classical guitar.
One of them is Sungha Jung. He is a South Korean musician who specializes in acoustic finger style guitar. Jung creates acoustic covers and arrangements, usually playing by ear or by watching videos, but also has composed his own original music, which he plays and uploads online. His YouTube channel has currently more than 4 million subscribers.
Sungha’s talent was evident from young age. We can watch him playing very well when he was just 13 years old:
He is now 20 years old, and is already a well known artist with a rich discography, and hopefully a wonderful career ahead.
