The “Super Guppy” is among the world’s biggest airborne cargo transporters. It is NASA’s choice to safely transport rockets, and also contains enough space to supply a whole settlement.
The “Super Guppy” is a modified version of the 1950’s Boeing 377 passenger plane “Stratocruiser”. The cargo bay is 25 feet wide and more than 100 feet long – big enough to swallow two entire military jet planes. The load it can carry surpasses 50,000 pounds, with a top speed of nearly 300 miles per hour!
The “Super Guppy” has only been produced a mere 5 times making these planes a rare encounter.
