The collapsed Silicone Valley Bank (SVB) was a leader in the global business movement to embrace environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in its model. The company’s website states it prioritized: diversity, equity, and inclusion measures; and sustainability. But, did its focus on these values cause SVB to lose sight of its financial health and head toward failure?
