This baby’s radiant smile will melt your heart the moment he hears his parents’ voices for the first time.
Little Archer is crying when he firs gets his hearing aids fitted. But at the moment the aids are turned on, he stops crying. Looking curious and perplexed, he starts to smile, once he realizes what is happening. ‘He likes what is happening right now,’ said his dad, Drew Ruiz.
Archer was born with permanent hearing loss in both ears. When he was three months old, he received his first set of hearing aids, and finally was able to hear his parents and grandparents laugh, cry and sing for the first time in his life.
‘I love you, are you excited? Can you hear everything?’ asks his mom, Taryn.
Archer smiles as if he understands what his mom says.
‘You can hear us, huh!’ she says excitedly, ‘We love that, we’re so excited!’
‘This is the coolest day ever! There’s my boy!’ Diego says cheerfully, and begins singing to his son.
