The House Jan. 6 Committee continues to investigate the Capitol breach. The nine-member committee is made up of seven Democrats and two Republicans. They’ve voted unanimously to hold two former Trump advisers—Peter Navarro and Dan Scavino—in contempt of Congress. The committee says Navarro and Scavino are refusing to comply with subpoenas.
Former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows has not complied with subpoenas from the House’s Jan. 6 Committee. Now the House wants the Department of Justice to get involved and charge Meadows with criminal contempt of Congress.
Later on Tuesday, the House is voting on criminal contempt charges against Mark Meadows, who served as White House chief of staff under former President Donald Trump. Meadows, who is also a former congressman, refused to comply with subpoenas from the House Jan. 6 Committee.
