A 23-year-old Taiwanese man was arrested for forming and operating one of the largest illegal narcotics marketplaces. The dark web platform allowed users to buy and sell drugs anonymously and had its own cryptocurrency bank. It made a profit of $100 million in under four years. Taiwanese officials confirmed that the man arrested for the crime served in Taiwan’s Technical Mission to Saint Lucia. He was arrested at John F. Kennedy airport in a joint effort between federal agencies and local law enforcement.
