Taiwan’s president is offering help to neighboring Beijing while still firmly opposing its aggression and territory claims.
President Tsai Ing-wen delivered her traditional new year message at the island’s presidential office Sunday. In it, she said Taiwan was prepared to aid China amid the major COVID-19 surge sweeping the country.
