Taiwan plans to invest in Lithuania to help the country respond to diplomatic and trade pressure from China. Last year, Lithuania became the first European country to allow Taiwan to open a new diplomatic outpost for 18 years. The move offended Beijing, which has banned Lithuanian cargo from entering China.
