Want the experience of a lifetime? Go skydiving with the Golden Knights.
It’s the U.S. Army Parachute Team, which has won thousands of awards in competitions since its establishment in 1959.
These elite parachutists have invited the public to join them in the skies since 1995.
“In doing that, we share–we have you put your trust into a soldier’s hands and we kind of give you that confidence that we as an army and a military force give to the American public,” said SFC Class Jennifer Espinosa, a demonstration parachutist with the U.S. Army Parachute Team.
You don’t have to have experience or a license. Just get some basic training and strap on your harness.
Dropping from a height of over 10,000 feet and traveling at 120 mph (193 kmh) this activity is not for the faint of heart. But take comfort in knowing that an experienced army parachutist is right behind you.
Organizers of the program hope it will boost understanding and trust between soldiers and civilians.
