Target issued a recall Wednesday on nearly 500,000 pieces of infant and toddler clothing after reports of potential choking hazards, according to multiple recall notices.

The recall was announced in two separate notices from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and covers about 181,000 Cat & Jack Infant-Toddler One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuits and 299,000 Cloud Island infant rompers.

The firm announced 16 people have reported cases with the snaps of the Cat & Jack swimsuits breaking, detaching, or missing from the rompers. This fault in the product resulted in one child getting scratched and another child being pinched, according to the notice.

“Consumers should immediately take the recalled one-piece Rashguard swimsuits away from children and return them to any Target Store for a full refund,” the major U.S. retail corporation said, adding that anyone who bought the product online can contact the store to receive a prepaid return label to return their swimsuit.

Similar concerns with snaps breaking or detaching were also addressed with the Cloud Island infant rompers. The firm said it has received 27 reports in total, including one report of a laceration, according to a separate recall notice.

Target announced a similar remedy for the rompers as with the swimsuits, urging consumers to return them to any store for a full refund.

The products were sold at Target stores across the United States as well as online at Target.com, GoogleExpress.com, and Shipt.com, according to the notice.

The swimsuits were sold from December 2019 through October 2020 for about $15 and the rompers were sold for about $10 for a single piece and $11 for a two-pack romper set from July 2019 through October 2020.
