Three large tax preparation firms sent “extraordinarily sensitive” information on tens of millions of taxpayers to Google and Facebook parent company Meta over the course of at least two years, according to a group of congressional Democrats Wednesday.

U.S. consumer prices saw their smallest annual increase in more than two years. The CPI report Wednesday showed that inflation is subsiding.

China’s producer prices fell at their fastest pace in over seven years in June. This is bringing fears among economists and investors that the world’s second-largest economy is on the edge of slipping into deflation.
