U.S. electric car maker Tesla is breaking sales records in the Chinese market. Data from the China Passenger Car Association shows Tesla sold over 70,000 Chinese-made vehicles in December 2021—the highest number of monthly sales since it started manufacturing in Shanghai in 2019. And compared to the previous December, this sales figure is close to three times higher.
Tesla currently ranks third in electric vehicle sales in China, and it’s the only foreign brand ranked in the top 10.
