Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton pleaded not guilty to 20 articles of impeachment on Tuesday at the outset of his impeachment trial in the state Senate. “The allegations are untrue, therefore Ken Paxton pleads not guilty,” his attorney Tony Buzbee told the court. Mr. Paxton was impeached in May by the Republican-controlled Texas House of Representatives, which voted 121–123 to charge him with abuse of office and bribery.
