The antique town of Taormina prepares to host Trump and G-7 summit

The Sicilian town of Taormina, Italy, is preparing to welcome leaders from the G-7 countries. The hilltop city holds much ancient architecture.

David, a tourist from Great Britain, gave his thoughts on the location, “We are here on holiday and I believe this is going to be the location for the G7 meeting, President Trump and all the others, and I think it is a perfect location. It’s sunny, it’s friendly and they’ll see lots of ancient history and of course some very good ice cream.”

The U.S. Secret Service has already visited the site to ensure the security of President Trump. The local government did not alter streets to meet the Secret Service’s requirements, so there is still some controversy about the security of the location.

Nonetheless, the local government is happy that Sicily can host such a prestigious event.
