The Jungle Book won the Academy Award for best visual effects in 2017 for its incredible visuals throughout. The movie grossed a whopping $966 million in less than a year after being released. The film is based on the 1967 Disney movie of the same name.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the film had a budget of roughly $175 million to cover its voiceover and animation costs. The movie’s main character, Mowgli, is a man cub of sorts and is raised by a pack of wolves in the wild.

The production of the film began in 2013 and mixes themes from the original movie as well as unique features to make it different. It features many of the same characters and songs, but has a lot of inspiration from other popular movies.
