Over in the Netherlands, the country’s beauty pageant has just crowned a winner and for the first time, it’s going to a transgender person.

Though it’s not a first in the history of beauty pageants, this change does seem to be trending more in recent years.

A former pageant winner, Miss Mundo Colombia 2001 Catalina Stew-Bay Stubbe, gives her take. Ms.Stew-Bay Stubbe is now the director of Hispanic Outreach at Moms for Liberty.
