Tiger Woods to Skip US Open

Tiger Woods announced he will not be participating in the US Open, which starts next week in Brookline, Massachusetts. Woods made the announcement on twitter Tuesday, saying his body needed more time to get stronger. He also reiterated that he plans to play at the JP McManus Pro-Am in Ireland, which starts on July 4, before playing The Open at St. Andrews in Scotland the following week.
