TikTok Feeding Harmful Content to Teens, Detrimental to Developing Minds: Counselor

Data privacy is a major concern with TikTok, but parents have other worries surrounding the use of the app. This comes as a survey made fake 13-year-old accounts and found they were overrun with videos on the topics of suicide, eating disorders, self-harm, and body image.

Licensed professional counselor, Dr. Dean Beckloff, tells NTD young minds are vulnerable as they are not fully developed until 25 years old, so this harmful content is making a big impact on them.
