Commenting on the March 22 attack in London, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said it was “tragic” and “awful what happened” after four people were killed and at least 40 injured.

A car plowed into pedestrians and an attacker stabbed a policeman close to the British parliament.

The dead included the assailant and the policeman he stabbed, while the other two victims were among those hit by the car as it tore along Westminster Bridge before crashing into railings just outside parliament.

The comments by Tillerson came during a bilateral meeting with Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
