New Years’ Eve preparations are underway in New York City.
Workers are installing a new design of the famous Times Square New Year’s Ball. This year’s celebrations will be smaller than usual. There will be fewer than 100 people ringing in the New Year. Doctors, nurses, teachers, grocery store employees, transit workers, and other essential workers will be invited to enjoy the celebration. They’ll celebrate in socially-distanced pens while everyone else watches from home.
