Toothpaste Hacks and Gum Health Tips

Although people say brush your teeth, did you know that you actually need to brush your gum?

Bacteria forms in the gap between your gum and teeth, brushing them everyday is supposed to clean it out. If you don’t clean out the gap between your gum and teeth, there will be plaque build up. Plaque is filled with bacteria and can cause infections that hurt your gum. This can lead to gum disease. Gum disease can eventually lead you to losing the support of the fibers and bone surrounding your teeth. Ultimately, you can lose your teeth and may require dental implants.

On a brighter note, let’s talk about how you can prevent this from happening.

1. Brush Your Teeth Twice A Day

The first thing is to maintain brushing your teeth at least twice a day or after each meal. When doing so, remember to scrub your tongue, since bacteria can stay there.

2. Use A Therapeutic Mouthwash

Make your own mouthwash at home! Add some water to Unitein toothpaste, which has the effect of reducing gum disease, and mix until combined. Your mouth will feel so fresh after! Bear in mind that mouthwash does not substitute regular brushing and flossing.

3. Don’t Stop Brushing Because Your Gum Hurts

Even when your gum starts to hurt while you’re brushing, don’t stop! This signals that your gum is getting weaker and more sensitive — all the more reason to brush your teeth more regularly.
