A radical California curriculum is proposing to start teaching kindergartners about transgenderism.

The California education curriculum is generating protests from parents who are calling the agenda “sexually explicit” and “dangerous,” according to the Washington Examiner.

Former teacher and education advocate Rebecca Friedrichs said worried parents, grandparents, and teachers spent hours scrutinizing the thousands of pages of the new curricula amid a 60-day public review period.

Information on the 2019 Health Education Curriculum Framework for California Public Schools can be seen here.

The suggested curriculum puts forward the idea that transgenderism and same-sex relationships are positive options. The curriculum shows children as young as prekindergarten that people are “assigned” a gender at birth, but they might choose something different amidst a “spectrum” of genders.

Some of the advocated kindergarten books include “My Princess Boy,” which the framework describes as “an age-appropriate book that can be used to demonstrate gender differences and inclusion.”

Another recommended book is “Who are You?: The Kids Guide to Gender Identity,” which introduces the option of being “trans, genderqueer, nonbinary, gender fluid, transgender, gender neutral, agender, neutrois, bigender, third gender, two-spirit,” and more, to the students.

Both parents and teachers expressed keen concern that the information included in these stories could be misleading to children.

“We will not allow our parental rights to be stripped from us. We will not allow our children’s hearts and minds to be stolen and used for political social experiments and radical activist agendas. We will stop at nothing to protect our kids,” said Stephanie Yates, who founded Informed Parents of California, the group that is at the front of the charge against the curriculum.

As the curriculum advances to higher grades, parents found increasingly more dubious material, such as the book proposed for the fifth grade, “George,” that writes about “porn,” “hiding your search history from Mom,” and “all boys are dirty and look up girls’ skirts.”

High school young adults are taught about all the birth control methods, in addition to their entitlement to procure abortions without parental consent. The curriculum would even allow them to get an “excused absence” from the school to do so.

The State Department of Education is expected to meet on May 8-9 to decide on the final version of the health framework. In the March hearing, more than 200 people spoke out in opposition to the bill and 10 in favor. Parents also urged lawmakers to take SB673 into consideration, which adds facilitation to the law for transparency, parental opt-in, and accountability.

Nevertheless, due to the strong alliance of the California Teachers’ Union, the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and GLSEN promoting the curriculum, the suggestions that parents offered during the protests and 60-day review process may not be taken into consideration.

Democrats in Congress Swap POW-MIA Flags for Transgender Banners

Several congressional Democrats replaced flags honoring American veterans with banners celebrating “transgender equality,” according to photos the Democrats shared on social media.

The flags were delivered to every member of Congress by a group named “National Center for Transgender Equality,” along with a request to fly the flags outside their offices, reported Fox News.

It’s unclear how many Democrats removed POW-MIA flags in favor of the transgender banners, but the Washington Free Beacon found proof of at least one Democrat who did so. The POW-MIA flag is one of the most commonly flown alongside the American flag, but is not seen in most of the photos Democrats shared of the transgender banners.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) also shared a photo of the flag outside his office.

“Discrimination has no place in our society. I am proud to display this flag as a symbol of my support for transgender people across the country. We must stand with transgender people in all of our communities,” Sanders wrote.
