Treetop Adventure in New York City

New Yorkers who want to experience outdoor adventures, don’t miss this new spot.

Bronx Zoo, New York’s largest, just launched two adventures “Treetop Adventure” and  “Nature Trek,” that give people a new perspective of the Bronx River and surrounding forest.

Climb up and down through all sorts of bridges. There are 7 aerial courses color coded by 4 skill levels, which can make everyone enjoy the nature and adventure in this urban city.

The Treetop Adventure also uses state-of-the-art harness equipment and safety systems.

“So as the tree grows, we loosen the areas around it. So you are able to have the tree grow.

And all of your elements get tightened and move around. So it’s extremely safe, as well as safe for nature,” said Randi Winter, the director of visitor service in the zoo.

See the dual, side-by-side ziplines as well and ride across the Bronx River, crossing the jungle and soaring above the lake, just like Tarzan.

“So when we look out at our park, a 265-acre natural area, look for all different ways

we can have people experience nature and wildlife, and have experiences in nature and

in the urben environment most people don’t get to have,” said Randi Winter.

These two newly added activities are located at the entrance to the Bronx River side.

The “Nature Trek” activity is best suited for families to experience inside the Bronx Zoo.
