Troops Deployed in London to Help Hospitals

As the Omicron variant continues to spread across the UK, pressure is mounting on the country’s health service. Staff shortages largely due to self-isolation are prompting the Ministry of Defence to deploy troops in London. Around 200 armed forces personnel are being made available to hospitals across the capital.
