In a country with hundreds of one-lane roads, traffic related death are in the thousands each year. In Argentina it’s said that almost every hour one person dies on the roads. 80 % of these casualties happens while overtaking…

People are suddenly faced with this…

But now an ingenious new invention may save thousands of lives every year. By simply attaching a wireless camera to the front of the truck and putting four rear outdoor monitors to the back of the trailer, Samsung has taken huge steps towards making the roads safer. These rear monitors show what’s ahead of the truck, which the driver behind would otherwise not be able to see.

Perhaps attaching the camera to the roof instead of sticking it onto the bumper may improve road safety even more, because cars stuck behind the slowly crawling trucks can see further ahead.

Nevertheless the technology will be a big step forward for road safety, once widely implemented.
