Trump and Saudi King sign numerous deals

President Trump and Saudi Arabia’s King Salman signed numerous deals to benefit both countries.

Saudi Arabia will purchase $110 billion in U.S. arms to help it counter the threat of Iran. Saudi oil giants also signed deals with U.S. companies.

Middle East allies hope Trump can help them combat the destabilizing force of Iran. Iran is believed to have a hand in conflicts taking place in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

Saudi Arabia is the first stop on Trump’s first foreign trip. He is next scheduled to visit Israel, Italy, the Vatican, and Belgium.

It is Trump’s longest time away from the White House since taking office four months back. Powerful White House staff, including Ivanka Trump, were present for the Saudi deal signings.
