Trump Appoints Miller as Defense Secretary

At President Donald Trump’s command, Christopher Miller has replaced Mark Esper as the acting secretary of defense.

Miller was previously the director of the National Counterterrorism Center. He was responsible for overseeing the employment of special operations forces in counterterrorism, unconventional warfare, and irregular warfare.
