Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday that President Joe Biden’s plan to set a tariff on electric vehicles made in China was a case of too little, too late, as he spoke to reporters before entering a New York City courtroom for his so-called hush money trial.
“He should have done it a long time ago,” said President Trump. “But they’ve also got to do it on other vehicles, and they have to do it on a lot of other products, because China’s eating our lunch right now.”
President Trump also criticized the Biden administration’s electric vehicle mandate proposals while speaking to the journalists.
